The Hominy Market is an outdoor Sunday market in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains on a horse and permaculture ranch, 10m west of Asheville.
You will find live music, local crafts, goods, honey, food & drink, fresh cut flowers by Shell Belle Blooms, healers and remedies, and plenty for the whole family to do. This is a family friendly market--kids enjoy the bounce house, roaming chickens, and pony rides (adults welcome too!).
The November 22 Market is harvest themed and will host a wreath making workshop with Shell Belle Blooms.
Come make a gorgeous harvest wreath from 12-2pm. All materials and guidance are included. The cost for this workshop is $40. (if this fee is out of economic reach for you, please be in touch).
Learn from Michelle Myers, our resident flower horticulturist and gifted wreath and floral arrangement teacher. She grows and sources her blooms right here on the Ranch, using organic and permaculture methods that nurture the land and support local pollinators. She also runs our CSA.
Michelle’s specialty is pairing rare heirloom varieties with beloved classics, creating arrangements that are always showstoppers. Her students rave about her warm, hands-on approach.
In this workshop, you’ll design and make your own wreath, one that’s guaranteed to bring questions and compliments from everyone who walks through your door. It’s a rare chance to learn professional techniques and take home a wreath worth showing off!
If you are interested in vending, we welcome local makers, produce growers, artists, musicians, community organizations, and food trucks. Please apply here: https://www.rubyranchnc.com/vendor-application
Note that because this is a working ranch, NO outside pets are allowed. Thank you!
