August Community Supported Skill-share Class: Wild edibles and foraging

  • Red Moon Herbs 26 Davis Chapel Road Candler, North Carolina, 28715 United States (map)

Our next class for Skill share members is Sunday, August 9th covering foraging and using wild edible plants.

Featuring a Ranch partner, our guest teacher will be Jeannine Dunn, Director of Red Moon Herbs (where class will be held).

Class will feature an herb walk around their property to learn to identify common wild edibles and medicinal plants, and will include making an herbal vinegar you can take home with you.

You'll go home with a study guide, resources, and fresh ideas for how to incorporate wild food into your life.

Bring a snack to class to share while we learn.

About the Community Supported Skillshare Membership:

A year-long seasonal learning journey reclaiming self-reliance skills alongside kindred spirits - on a beautiful working horse ranch just 20 minutes from Asheville.

Ruby Ranch hosts a Community Supported Skill-share, a year-round membership where locals gather monthly to learn practical earth skills, share meals, connect with the Land, and build the kind of community that truly nourishes people. Growing food, preserving the harvest, herbalism, fermentation, and more, all rooted right here on the land.

Think of it like a veggie CSA: your membership shapes the program around what this community actually wants to learn and grow together, and the more people who join, the richer it gets for everyone.

Founding members also get to collectively tend and harvest from the Ranch community garden, and there's room for the big sprawling things—pumpkins, watermelons, full-sun everything. ☀️

*Membership is required to attend.‍ Price per household, on a sliding scale, no commitment required.
